Elke Dens founded Place Generation to support destinations in their transition towards a more sustainable and resilient future. She’s also a strategic advisor of The Travel Foundation.
Elke Dens was one of the driving forces to lead VisitFlanders into ‘Travel to tomorrow’, a vision on tourism based on regeneration. Between 2016 and 2020 she chaired the marketing group of The European Travel Commission.
She recently published a book about the transition in tourism, but most of all she’s one of the best marketers in tourism, awarded Marketeer of the Year in 2019 pushing marketers to lead the transition in their field.
