With a passion for sustainable tourism and a track record of enhancing destinations, he serves as the Director of Tourism for M\u00e1laga, one of Europe\u2019s most vibrant cities.<\/p>\n
Previously, as International Liaison Officer at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), he built global partnerships with universities and tourism ministries worldwide. He played a key role in launching \u201cTourism for SDGs\u201d in 2017 during the United Nations\u2019 International Year of Sustainable Tourism. His leadership in the Affiliate Members Program fostered influential public-private alliances, coordinating networks like the UNWTO Gastronomy and Urban Tourism Networks.<\/p>\n
Earlier in his career, he directed convention bureaus in Granada, Ibiza, and Castilla-La Mancha, elevating these destinations on the international stage.<\/p>\n
He has advised governments across Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia on tourism strategies and consulted projects for leading firms like Boston Consulting Group and Oliver Wyman.<\/p>\n
