Manuela De Carlo, PhD, is a full professor of Business Economics and Strategy and Director of the Department of Business, Law, Economics and Consumption at IULM University of Milan, where she directs the Master’s Course in International Tourism and Hospitality.
Her research activity focuses on the development of collective capabilities with particular focus on tourism destinations and companies, on the role of artificial intelligence in the formulation of competitive strategies in tourism, and on sustainable development strategies in the tourism, luxury and Made-in-Italy sectors. She has carried out numerous research-action and consultancy projects on these topics for institutions and leading companies in Italy and abroad in the tourism and Made-in-Italy sectors.
