Economist, Master in Strategic Management, and Doctor of Administration Sciences. Participated in the Sustainability and Environmental Policy program at the University of California, Davis (2009-2010).

Currently, Sub General Manager of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. Former General Manager of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (2014-2024) and Head of the National Chamber of Tourism (2002-0229). Chair of: National Technical Committee for Standardization in Tourism of Costa Rica, Inter-institutional Commission of Tourist Marinas, Technical Committee for the Verification of the Certificate of Tourism Sustainability. From 2010 to 2014, coordinated the Tourism Sustainability Department of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. At the international level, chair of the International Social Tourism Organization (ISTO) Section Americas, vice chair of the OECD Tourism Committee, and a candidate for vice chair at UN Tourism Statistics Committee, and the CITUR /OAS.

Teaches in areas such as Economics, Strategic Management, Evaluation of Tourism Projects, Quality Management in tourism companies, and Tourism Marketing, among others.
