Do we really think that technology or significant economic resources are enough to transform villages and make them attractive destinations for tourism and new residents?
During this panel discussion, we will ask ourselves how we can really do something to exploit the unexpressed potential of inland areas, what to adopt, particularly in terms of technological innovations and governance, in order to gain an understanding of the crucial role of those who are in charge of creating opportunities in these territories.
We will get acquainted with a small smart village in Calabria, which has received considerable investments in just a few years, a Community Cooperative in Molise with a human-centered approach, arriving in Tuscany, a region that is a hotbed of innovation and planning, and ending with the Dutch province of Friesland, where strengthening the community’s sense of belonging is combined with a practical digital customer experience.
Instead, we chose a provocative title to focus on complex processes that require time and commitment to create the right balance and imagine real, sustainable and truly smart change. Let’s find out about it together in this panel.
